Maker: S.W. Silver
Made by the well known campaign furniture company SW Silver, these leather barrack straps would be useful to a officer for hanging their swords, sticks and other equipment,
Used as a pair items would be hung horizontally between the two. The square cut ends, two rivets to the hooks and three hanging eyelets make them stand out from other barrack straps. Both are marked with a circular stamp noting SW Silver & Co., Manufactures, Cornhill, London with the SWS logo to the centre. More can be read on SW Silver in British Campaign Furniture by Brawer and our catalogue The Captain's Kit Bag. Late 19th century.
Size of each is given.
