Maker: York House
A mahogany Campaign Mirror by York House.
This mirror has a protective slide to cover the glass during travel and a hinged lectern foot to stand it for use. The cover board has a wide, subtle chamfered edge and fits to the frame by tongue and groove. The foot is held on a cord which can be adjusted. It can also be hung on its misshapen brass ring. The backboard and foot are made of oak. The maker's roundel noting, York House, Regent Street, London, is inset to the top of the foot. York House were also known as the Junior Army & Navy and sold a wide range of campaign furniture. Late 19h Century.
