A good sized, moulded glass flask with a silver plated screw on cap and cup.

A number of makers, such as Dixons and the Army and Navy CSL made similar flasks to this by one but those by J.W. Allen are not easy to come by. These flasks were sold both individually and within travelling sets. The base of the cup is stamped J.W. Allen, 37 Strand W.C. The company had opened further premises at this address by 1865. Circa 1900.
