A pair of small framed watercolours showing Austrian soldiers at ease.
One shows an officer being shaved, with 2 fellow officers with guards watching. The second shows soldiers with an officer at ease, one is sleeping, another loading his musket and others are relaxing. Hand written notes, in English, to the back of each picture suggest they are illustrative of the Austrian revolution of 1848.
A small but attractive pair of pictures, re-framed in oak. Mid to late 19th Century.
