A mahogany, low Coaching Table.
This table folds in the same manner as a standard coaching table. The two piece top is split to the middle and hinged so that the two shorter, outer edges will lift up to meet each other. In doing so, the X-frame legs also fold. When in use, the table has a simple twist locking bar to the underside. It both fixes the table in the open position and offers support to the middle where the two halves meet.
The table has a moulding cut to its edge and the leg has a pleasing shape. This is a practical coffee table that can also be folded up, to save space, when not in use. Early to mid 20th Century.
