A mahogany Three Fold Campaign Mirror.

The mirror folds out to give the user three looking glasses that can be either hung on its shaped brass handle or set on a table. The side mirrors are set on piano hinges and can be angled as needed. The right hand side mirror has the glass replaced. The back of the right hand board has a round magnifying mirror for shaving.

To use the shaving mirror, the middle board is placed down on the table with the left board used to support the right, as illustrated.

As is fairly typical of many campaign mirrors, the looking glasses are held in by a sandwich of three strips of boxwood and ebony stringing. The three boards all fold tightly to each other locking on a sprung brass catch with push button. The compact design adds to the protection of the glass to the interior. The outside boards are cut with a simple moulding to elevate the design.
