A burgandy, grained leather Jewellery Box.
The box has a flush campaign handle to the top and stay hinges to hold the lid in the open position.
The interior has a removable tray with dividers to hold rings to either side of compartments to take necklaces etc. To the middle it is fitted to take a pocket watch. Below the tray is a plain well for large items.
The case has a key and the lock is marked 'Improved Lock'. This small sized Jewellery Box would have been useful for weekends away. Large enough to hold a rang of different jewellery but small enough to easily pack. Early 20th Century.
