An early 19th century mahogany campaign chest in two parts.
The chest stands on removable ebonized acorn feet and has skeletal brass handles. The mahogany is a good rich colour and indicative of the quality of the timber used. The size of this chest is much smaller than standard and is also a sign of its earlier date. Early 19th century.
