Teak and Brass Campaign Shelves
80364
Made of teak with brass standards, these are a typical set of campaign shelves from the late 19th Century.
They dismantle easily by unscrewing the finial nuts to the top of the shelves and then in turn the standards, with the shelves lifting off. This set has a cresting rail and feet, other examples were made without the rail or feet. A number of companies made this type of shelving with the Army & Navy store probably the most notable. They are designed to sit on top of a campaign chest. Late 19th Century.
