A Three Fold mahogany Dressing Mirror standing on brass ball feet.

The rectangular boards each hold an oval mirror plate with a deep bevelled edge. They are joined to each other with brass hinges that allow them to flat pack to a compact size but to open to allow each board to be set at the required angle to the others. The design allows the boards to fold over each with two looking glasses facing each other and the third resting against a back board. In folding this way, the glass is protected when packed.

The size of the mirrors suggest that they were probably aimed at both the travel and domestic market. Late 19th Century.

Packed size is given. When all 3 boards are open and in line with each other the width is 26 inches (66 cm). For use, the width will be less than this in order that the mirrors stand.
