Leather Case by Brachers of Bristol
Leather Case by Brachers of Bristol
A leather hide case originally made to carry some type of instrument or tool.
The case has a good shaped handle that moves on brass ring fittings and two brass locks which have a key. The lid is supported by a full length leather hinge and two internal straps. The interior is lined in baize, to cushion the contents, and has a divider set to one side. The maker's oval logo noting 'Bracher & Co. Makers, Bristol' is stamped to both sides.
Bracher are well respected makers who worked out of both Bristol and Cardiff. This case is evident of the quality of their work and although its original purpose is unknown, the size is useful. Circa 1900.
