A leather hide Cigar Case.
The design is a little different to most in that it is not made of one sleeve that fits inside another, allowing you to adjust the case size to the cigar. The main part has an internal section that is almost the full length of the case, made of one piece of leather with a stitched seam. This internal section has the bottom of the outer case fixed to it, with the top half removable.
The top and bottom of the two outer sections are each made of two pieces of leather finely stitched together. They are both marked with a stamped circle to the leather to ensure that the top is put on the correct way. The inner sleeve, which is a slightly lighter colour has been marked by a previous owner with their initials 'J x S' in ink.
This is a well made, small cigar case. Circa 1900.
