A single leather Barrack Strap with brass hooks.
Barrack straps such as this were normally used in pairs to hang whips and swords etc. between the two. They could of course also be used to hang clothing and other items and so used as a single strap. This strap has 6 large hooks which are riveted to the leather. There is a brass eyelet to both the top and bottom to hang the strap.
A number of different manufactures sold similar straps from the A&N CSL to S.W. Silver, Harrods, J.W. Allen and York House. Late 19th Century.
