A short, pigskin leather Cigar Case.
This cigar case has the standard inner sleeve, to hold the cigars, fitting inside an outer cover sleeve. The sleeves are each made out of one piece of leather with a single line of stitching to the bottom and side. Both sleeves has a simple double tramline tooled to the top edge.
The outer sleeve is stamped Austin's and this is likely to be the tobacconist who retailed the case. The case is shorter than most and a little unusual that it is pigskin which adds a texture to the finish. Early 20th Century.
