A large, brass cased floating Compass with lid.

The brass case has its original lacquer finish, although its naturally has some wear. The lid is not threaded and pushes on and lifts off for quick access. The floating card dial has a gem stone pivot. North is marked with a decorative Fleu de Lys and the 32 points are simply marked with a triangular arrow, decreasing in size from the cardinal points.

This compass is a large size with a diameter of just over 3 ¼ inches (8.5cm) and in good working order. The interior of the lid has numerous scratch marks but otherwise condition is good. Mid 19
