An unusual Tent Pole Strap with cast iron hooks.
The strap is formed of a short strap with buckle that can be set at 10 different positions. The 4 painted cast iron double hooks are made with an elongated hole to the centre, to pass the belt through. The tighter the belt is set, the closer the hooks are pushed to each other.
To one end of the belt is a threaded cross bar with a wing nut; to the other end is a curved U shape fitting to receive the bolt with the belt fixed to the pole by tightening the nut.
We haven't seen a tent pole strap the same as this example before but it looks too considered to be a 'one off'. Early to Mid 20th Century.
