This Victorian Draughts Set would help while a way the time on a long journey, as the printed label, showing a couple on board a train, suggests.
The turned draughts are kept in place by sitting on copper pins in the centre of each square. The case is cardboard decorated with embossed patterned paper with a pullout drawer for the board. The board is printed with the registration number of 10419 giving a date of 1884.
