A pair of pressed brass Brighton Bun Candlesticks with leather to the outside of the dishes and to the centre of the sconces.
There is evidence that these candlesticks were once silver or nickel plated. Leather Brighton Buns in good condition tend to be harder to find and this model is slightly different to others that we have had. With the 2 sconces, one with a screw and one without, removed, they can be placed into one of the dishes. Again, one of the dishes has a threaded fitting and the other doesn't allowing them to be fitted together to look like a bun and contain the sconces for travel. Circa 1900.
